My Story

I am running the Big Half to raise money for the Pahar Trust Charity, a wonderful charity that helps to build schools in the remote hills of Nepal.

With my wife Rosie and our team at Crawley and Horley Spinal Health clinics we are aiming to raise enough money this year to help build a school.

I first heard about the Pahar Trust when hearing stories of my Dad Tim's trips to Nepal to work for a charity he was involved with due to spending time in Nepal when he was in the RAF.

I then saw my bother Robbie take a trip with his primary school and Dad to Nepal and the incredible stories of the people and places they had been and the help that the Phar Trust provides to the villages and children of Nepal.

In 2008 I was lucky enough to be able to go with Dad and Robbie out on a trip to Nepal and experience it for myself. Being welcomed into villages like celebrities was both amazing and humbling and the people we met were so kind and generous with us and appreciative of the help they were receiving. The local people and villages are also determined to put in as much as they can to the projects to ensure both short and long term success.

It is great to know that they are helping not just with Education but also Health and water and sanitation and I will be very grateful for any support you can give.

Please support my efforts to train for the Big Half marathon, although I do enjoy running its been a long time since i've run much more than the once weekly 5k!!

Thank you
